Production
The real system, with real users, real data and real consequences.
As opposed to a demo, a pilot or a test environment. The word carries weight because almost everything that goes wrong is specific to production: the data is messier, the volumes are higher, the edge cases are real people, and a mistake cannot be undone by resetting the database.
